A magical tour

Hey there!

Sooo, thankfully a friend of mine had suggested that we visit the Harry Potter Studios and we already bought our Tickets in advance (http://www.wbstudiotour.co.uk/) for 31 pounds each.

In order to get from London to the Studios we had to take a train from Euston Station to Watford Junction. I must admit that I do not clearly understand the train system there in Britain… But we managed to find our platform and because of our Travel Cards we even got a discounted fare! Instead of paying 10 pounds each for the journey we only had to pay 1,6 pounds extra with our Travel Card. ^^

The train ride only took us about 15 min (we took an Express Train, I think…). So we ended up being a little early at Watford Junction. From the station there is a Shuttle bus from the studios (you can’t overlook the bus, since it’s a big black bus with Harry Potter written on it) that costs 2 pound for the round trip. Since we were early we didn’t take the first bus there was (they go every 20 min or so) and bought some sandwiches and some Salt and Vinegar Crisps (as they are called over there) :D I love the combo of chips with salt and vinegar!

*SPOILER ALERT: If you want to visit the studios and be surprised what there is to see don’t read any further!!!*

The bus to the studios took us another 20 min or so, and I just wish they had an air conditioner!! We still were a little early for our tour (on your Ticket it says at what time you can enter, our Tickets were from 13:00 to 13:30) so we took a look at the Store first. So many things!!! :D

The tour itself was…. MAGICAL :D I really enjoyed it. I wont be able to tell or show you all of it, but some of my Highlights were: Dumbledore’s Office, the Griffindor Common room, the outside sets, the whole Creatures and Arts department, the Hogwarts castle model and Diagon Alley! ^^

But I’ll just show you “some” pictures:

It was a great day!I definitely recommend you to go, if you’re a fan of the Harry Potter series!

After getting back to London we just ate something at the chain “Itsu” (Japanese inspired, delicious food!) and that’s about it for this blog post…

One thing I noticed though: Ice cream is extremely expensive in London!!! Like 3 pounds for one scoop….

Sorry that I didn’t post these last days. The last few posts about London will be up soon!

Thank you!
